Music made me feel like I mattered to other people I barely knew. It helped me make friends with all types of people and it took me to all kinds of places, venues and vibes. I found comfort in the discovery of sounds and sonic textures, as well as the emotional outpour of different artists.
I guess I’ll just keep finding new stuff and see what stands out to me. Ultimately, I’ll write more stuff and release it eventually. I used to be a music elitist where I would say that a certain genre or aspect of music is the best. I’d say that punk is ‘real’ music or that metal is the most talented genre. I used to believe that guitars were the best and most beautiful instruments. Obviously, none of that mattered. |
Music just does its own thing regardless of what people say about it or label it as. Different artists and sub-genres randomly emerge, appealing to any audience who cares to listen. Agreeing to this makes it easier to have an open mind when finding new stuff. I always forget what music I’m into.
It’s so inconvenient! This is frustrating when I’m controlling the music in the car or talking to strangers about different bands. I guess it’s because I’ve discovered so many vibes, albums, genres and feelings that I can’t even bother to categorise all of it. - Deluś |

I have always had an interest in music from a young age. My day usually consists of going to school and listening to music, then coming home, producing, and listening to more music. I probably started dabbling in music production about a year and a half ago, and actually started getting into it around 8 months ago. Ever since then I have been on and off with production, trying to balance school work and music.
Now that I am leaving year 12, I will hopefully have more time to pursue and learn the craft alongside university. As I am still in the early stages, I enjoy creating a large range of music, not adhering to specific genres and just producing whatever comes to mind. I look to transform music production into a career in the future, whether that's studio work, composing soundtracks, or performing. |
As I listen to a large range of music, my inspirations shift often. Probably my two current biggest inspirations are Flume, and ATTLAS. Flume inspires me to be more creative and imaginative with my music, not sticking to rules or boundaries.
I also would love to try an create music ATTLAS, creating a musical journey, not just producing something that 'sounds cool'. I also want to try creating mixes with the quality of ATTLAS Storyline 1 and 2, bringing listeners on a vivid experience as a story unfolds. - Saaga |

I was born in Portugal but for most of my life I lived and was raised in Australia. My musical background goes as far back as I could remember. As a kid I loved entertaining and performing, as well as discovering sounds that I could piece together to make something. I only really started developing my songwriting skills when I was around 10 years old, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t already creating and having little musical ideas here and there. Because my grandfather was heavily into traditional Portuguese folk music, my first 4 years as a child was listening to a mix of what my Grandfather liked and western contemporary music.
As I started developing more musical skills growing up, I found myself listening to Motown, Pop and R&B music. Listening to this type of music exposed me to artist like Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston and James Brown who are now some of my greatest influences. As my love for music kept growing and expanding I started to explore the genre of jazz and hip hop/rap music. My list of influential artist and producers such as; Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre and Bruno Mars, kept growing. |
You could say my songwriting and producing abilities are all due to the amount of music I listen to daily, however even though this is partly true, my biggest inspiration when writing a producing songs are my memories and moments with family, friends and other life events. I’ve loved music ever since I could start making sounds with my mouth as a baby, and now as a young adult there is nothing else I could possibly see myself doing other than entertaining others and myself. My goal is to become an artist, producer and performer. I feel like doing what you love to do as a career makes life just that little bit better.
The two quotes I base my music and performance around are: Do everything in love” - 1 Corinthians 16:14 “Study the greats and become greater" - Michael Jackson - Miguel |

To be honest, my musical journey started from the day I was born. My music background derives mainly from my childhood environment being constantly exposed to music. My parents often played gigs when I was young, and my siblings and I would watch them perform. I guess my desire to play music was influenced by them. I am hoping to forward my music career through playing live gigs with a band, creating and producing music, and possibly even going into music therapy.

The genres I’m currently into and focusing on are Lofi, Alternative, Indie Rock. Right now, there are plenty of artists that I’m currently interested in. But for months now, I’ve been really into this artist called ‘Mitsuki’ and I’m rather big fan of hers. The sound that she makes and her lyrical choices are quite unique and very different from mainstream music. I really look up to her and hope that one day I could meet her and possibly collaborate for a song. Or even just jam really. But shout out to Mitsuki and you guys should check out her music.
